How to build it

Set aside a clean, well-lit table and work in stages. Sort the wooden sheets first and check them against the instructions, then build the walls and floor. Leave the glue joints to set before you add weight on top.

1. Punch out the wooden parts and smooth any rough edges with a fingernail file from your own tools.
2. Dry-fit the main panels before gluing so you know how they meet.
3. Glue the frame and let it set. Press-fit parts can go in without glue.
4. Add furniture, then the fabric and paper details last.
5. Run the LED wire through the opening noted in the instructions, then tuck the battery pack behind or under the room.
6. Set the finished room on a flat shelf.

Most builders spread the work over a few sittings rather than one long session. That also gives the glue time to cure between steps.

Care and display

Dust the finished room with a soft brush or a dry cloth. Avoid water and spray cleaners, which can warp paper and lift fabric. If a small piece comes loose, a dot of glue will set it back in place.

Keep the room away from damp rooms like basements and bathrooms. When the LED dims, swap the batteries.

This is a decorative model, not a toy for young hands. Keep small parts away from pets and from anyone under 14.
