The Clear Book Rest

What it is

The Clear Book Rest is a display stand made of clear acrylic. It holds a book, album, picture frame or piece of artwork upright so the cover or front faces out. The clear material lets the item you display stay the center of attention, and it fits on a desk, shelf, counter or tabletop.

Color and finish

The stand is clear. There is no color tint and no printed design, so it blends with wood, white, black or painted furniture. Because the acrylic is see-through, the stand nearly disappears once an item is resting on it, which keeps a shelf or desk looking open rather than cluttered.

Clear acrylic also works well when you change what you display. A cover, a frame or a print in any color will read clearly against it.

How to use it

Set the stand on a flat, stable surface. Rest the bottom edge of your book, album, frame or artwork in the stand and lean the item back so it sits upright. Adjust the item until it feels balanced, then step back and check the angle from where you will usually see it.

Wipe the stand clean with a soft damp cloth. Dry it after wiping to avoid water spots. Avoid abrasive cloths or harsh cleaners, which can dull or scratch clear acrylic over time. Handle it gently when you move it, and lift it rather than sliding it across a surface.
